Student life in Dublin

DSC_0208 ISB is located in a modern, state of the art premises in the heart of Dublin on Dawson Street. We are just a stone’s throw from Trinity College, the Mansion House (Lord Mayor’s residence), St Stephen’s Green and the main pedestrian shopping area of Grafton Street. Bars, cafes and restaurants abound in the immediate vicinity.

ISB actively encourages students to take full advantage of their time in Dublin and organises a range of cultural and sporting activities throughout the semester. These include:

    • Griffith Halls of Residence – Located on the South Circular Road, GCD Residence is about 25 minutes from city centre. It offers mostly shared twin rooms, with common living area and kitchen, bathroom, internet access. There is also 24 hour security. Minimum lease 20 weeks.     • Blackarch Student Residences – Blackarch student residences have two locations in the city centre and offer single rooms. Cost is €2,600 per semester plus €15 per week charges (approx). Minimum lease 15 weeks. A refundable security deposit of €300 is also charged. For further information, please visit www.blarckarch.ie.
    • Tramway Court – Located in Tallaght, Tramway Court is about 40 minutes from city centre. It offers modern student accommodation in twin or single rooms, with common living area, kitchen, bathroom and internet access. There is also 24 hour security.     • Hazelwood Apartments – located in Santry, Hazelwood Apartments are about 40 minutes from city centre. It offers modern student accommodation in twin or single rooms, with common living area, kitchen, bathroom and internet access. There is also 24 hour security.   • Homestay Options: It is possible to stay with an Irish family during your time in Dublin. The advantage is the cultural and linguistic immersion you will experience. Please note however that families do not live in city centre and a commute of 30 – 45 minutes would be normal. Breakfast and evening meal is provided together with light laundry.   • Leased Apartment Options:
EU students should obtain the European Health Insurance Card before leaving their home country. This entitles EU students to free medical care while in Ireland. All other students should obtain private medical insurance before coming to Ireland.
